Dr. Teddy Totimeh is a Consultant Neurosurgeon based at the Accra Medical Centre in Accra, Ghana. His subspecialty is Pediatric Neurosurgery, and he has been practicing medicine for the last 20 years.

Teddy began his medical education at the University of Ghana Medical School where he graduated in 2003 with a MBChB. He spent 2 years as Medical Officer in Battor Catholic Hospital before beginning his residency in Neurosurgery at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra. In 2013 he graduated as a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons.

He had also graduated a year earlier from the University of Ghana Medical School with an MPhil in anatomy earned during his neurosurgery residency. He worked in general neurosurgery as a Senior specialist Neurosurgeon at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, The Greater Accra Regional Hoapital and the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital from 2014 to 2019.

In 2020 Dr. Totimeh completed a Certificate in Paediatric Neurosurgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (Scotland, UK) as a fellow in the  Alderhey Children’s Hospital Liverpool. He returned to Ghana and worked as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the University of Ghana Medical Centre until mid 2023 when he resigned from government service and started a neurosurgical private practice at the Accra Medical Centre.

Teddy is passionate about the plight of children with brain tumors in Ghana and this influenced his decision to join the board of the foundation. He is married to Maamle, has 3 kids and enjoys playing scrabble, golf, swimming and watching movies.
